Data methodology
DeckTradr combines catalog records, third-party market observations, and first-party product activity to help collectors and vendors research cards. This page describes what those signals mean and where their limits are.
Effective September 19, 2026
Catalog identity
DeckTradr identifies a card by its game, set, card number, name, and available variant or finish fields. A price shown for one printing, finish, condition, or grade should not be assumed to apply to another. Canonical card and set pages keep a stable numeric identity in the URL even when descriptive names change.
Raw-card market values
Depending on the game and card, DeckTradr displays third-party published references, eligible external sold-listing observations, and qualified DeckTradr transaction context. Those signals describe different markets and may not match at a given moment. DeckTradr-calculated values are estimates for research, not guaranteed sale prices, appraisals, or offers to buy.
Marketplace names and logos identify external reference context or outbound destinations. They do not by themselves indicate that DeckTradr receives a direct data feed or is partnered with, endorsed by, or officially supplied by that marketplace. Connected seller tools describe their own integrations separately.
Graded-card values and recent sales
Graded values are kept separate by grading company and grade when the underlying record supports that distinction. Recent sold listings can vary because of card condition, certification, language, variant, listing quality, shipping, taxes, and bundled items. Users should inspect the individual sale evidence before making a buying, selling, or submission decision.
Portfolio and vendor calculations
Collection totals aggregate the values available for the items and variants recorded in the account. Vendor profit and margin views also depend on the cost, sale, expense, and transaction details entered or synchronized by the user. Missing or incorrect inputs can change the result.
Freshness and revisions
Third-party references and first-party events update on different schedules. Where DeckTradr shows a source or freshness timestamp, that label is the best guide to the observation being displayed. Historical values may be recalculated when an external reference changes, a variant match improves, or the pricing pipeline rejects an invalid observation.
Card-show information
Public card-show pages are assembled from organizer information, research, and community submissions. Dates, venues, admission details, and cancellation status can change. Confirm material travel decisions with the organizer using the source links shown on the event page.
